1. Reservations,
payments and access:
You may request availability by filling out the form provided on the website
or by contacting 19th Street Beachside Hideaway or by E-mailing at tybeehideaway@yahoo.com. If
19th Street Beachside Hideaway is available, we will notify you and upon
confirmation of your commitment, you will be sent an Agreement that must be
signed and returned to us immediately along with your initial payment of 1/2
the rental fee. We will hold the time requested for seven days but your stay
is not considered booked until this signed agreement and payment are
received. The balance of the rental fee, plus a $75 exit cleaning fee and a
refundable $200 damage deposit are due at least 14 days prior to your
arrival, at which time we will mail you directions and the combination to the
Key Box. All reservations made within thirty days from arrival date require
full payment at the time the reservation is made. We accept personal checks,
traveler's checks, money orders, or cashiers' checks.
2. Damage deposit,
damages, missing items:
The damage deposit covers intentional and unintentional damage (beyond normal
wear and tear), theft, excessive cleaning and violating the terms of the
agreement, but only up to the amount of $200. If the costs to repair, replace
items, clean the premises or fulfill the terms of the Agreement exceeds the
$200. damage deposit, guests must agree to pay this excess. 19th Street
Beachside Hideaway is not responsible for guest’s or other occupant’s
personal items during rental term or such items left upon departure, but will
make every effort to return items if found. The damage deposit will be
refunded within three weeks of departure.
3. Maximum occupancy
and parking:
The number of guests occupying 19th Street Beachside Hideaway is limited to
two adults and two children. Absolutely no house parties are allowed. There
is parking for one car.
4. Arrival and
departure times:
Check-in time is 4:00pm EST and check-out time is 11:00am EST unless
otherwise specified. These times are mandatory.
5. Cleaning and
amenities:
19th Street Beachside Hideaway will be equipped with bed, bath and linens and
a start on paper products and cleaning supplies. Our housekeeper will have
cleaned before check-in and when you have checked out. 19th Street Beachside
Hideaway makes every effort to keep the equipment and appliances in working
order. Repairmen may enter the property during business hours for the repair,
care or maintenance of the property. We will do our best to have any malfunction
repaired quickly. There will be no refunds for mechanical failure of
nonessential items such as TV, dishwasher, washer/dryer, or other luxury
items.
6. Restrictions:
There is absolutely no smoking, no pets and no house parties allowed at 19th
Street Beachside Hideaway.
7. Cancellation policy
In case of a cancellation 45 days or more prior to arrival, a $50
cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund payment. If the
cancellation occurs within 45 days of arrival and we are unable to rent the property
for the cancelled period, we will not be able to refund your payment, but we
will apply such payment as a credit towards a rental at a mutually convenient
date. If we are able to rent the property for the cancelled period, but only
at a reduced rate, your refund will be so prorated. 19th Street Beachside
Hideaway suggests guests inquire about trip cancellation insurance. There is
information obtainable through a search on the Internet.
8. Mandatory
evacuation
In the event of a mandatory evacuation of the island, the guest must agree to
vacate the property and the rental fees will be prorated and refunded for the
days not used.
9. Violation of terms
of Agreement:
19th Street Beachside Hideaway reserves the right to refuse or discontinue
occupancy if, in its opinion, the guest is detrimental to the property or is
violating the terms and conditions of the Agreement.
10. Indemnification:
Guests agree to indemnify and save 19th Street Beachside Hideaway and its
employees free and harmless for any liabilities or any loss or damage
whatsoever arising from, related to, or in any connection with the rental of
the premises, including but not limited to, any claim or liability of
personal injury or damage or loss of property which is incurred or sustained
by a guest or guests of guest.
There is a Pond and
sitting area across from the house and driveway. It is for the main house and
should not be used by the occupants of 19th Street Beachside Hideaway. Furthermore
it is not fenced in, and although it is not close to the Hideaway entrance,
those with young children should take the necessary safety precautions and
not allow their children to play alone near any body of water.
ALSO, this is in the
renovated lower level of a historic home. You can't beat the location and the
price. BUT the ceilings are low and if you are over 6’ tall, there will be a
few places where you have to duck.
The owners of 19th Street
Beachside Hideaway would like you to enjoy your stay. Please be aware that
there are also guests staying in the main house. 19th Street Beachside
Hideaway requests that noise be kept to a minimum between the hours of 11PM
and 9AM. Please be aware that the only outside area designated for 19th
Street Beachside Hideaway use is the large covered deck outside the Hideaway
entrance.
